One-on-one Academic Advice Sessions: 14 - 18 February
Faculty Orientation and Welcome Sessions: 21 - 22 February
Before Campus Fest - we are offering one-on-one academic advice sessions via Zoom during the week of February 14. If you have questions about which subjects to choose, planning your course or pre-requisites; these sessions are a great opportunity for you to get academic advice from the academic who will be teaching you.
If you need Academic Advice prior to enrolling please click here to book a 10 minute online meeting with an academic from your study area.
UOW is also offering two AskUOW 'pop-up' webinars. One on Tuesday 15 February at 4.30pm, and one on Thursday 17 February at 4.30pm.
Presented by experienced UOW staff and students, the webinar will answer all of your burning questions about returning to campus, studying in a blended learning environment and offer tips for making these first few weeks of semester a success.
Your Faculty Welcome Orientation session/s will be held on either Monday 21 or Tuesday 22 February 2022.
At your Orientation, you'll receive important information about your faculty and course as well as the support, services and opportunities available to you as a UOW student.
You will also be able to register to participate in one or more of our Transition For Success sessions. These are sessions to help you with the 'extra stuff', presented by services such as the Library, Careers Central, Learning Support and more.
It's important that you register for your orientation session using the buttons below. We have had to place caps on each session so that they are COVID Safe. If you register after the rooms has reached capacity, don't worry - you will be able to watch a recording of the session online and on-demand.
Have a question? Please see the Orientation FAQs >>

UOW is expecting to welcome our students back to campus in 2022 and our Orientation event will be a hybrid event; meaning that there will be information sessions offered in person and online.
Once you start your registration, you will see which sessions are offered in person and which online.
Due to health regulations, all in-person sessions will be capped according to room capacities. If you are unable to make it to the in-person session, you will be able to watch a recording of the session/s in the days after the session.
On campus - there will be free music, information stalls, free food all week long.
Yes you do.
We have had to cap numbers on each session so it is important we know numbers. If you are unable to attend, or the rooms fill up before you register, you will be able to watch a recording of the session/s in the days following the session.
If you have already enrolled at UOW, your registration details will pre-populate and all you need to do is select sessions and save them in your calendar. It is important to read through and confirm your details are correct. If you haven’t enrolled, then you will be required to fill out your own personal details.
Head to the Registration page.
If you have already enrolled at UOW and been sent your student number and UOW email address, you should register using your UOW email address so that a lot of your information will pre-load into the registration form.
Please note you will need to select a password to view your sessions - this is so you can come back later and make any changes you need to, view the recording later etc.
Please make sure this is NOT the same as your UOW password.
Please bring a face mask. You will not be allowed inside any UOW rooms without wearing a mask (unless you have a documented exemption).
There will be lots of free food on campus, and our on-campus food outlets will be open.
You should bring a bottle of water (we have re-fill stations located all over campus) as well as sunscreen and a hat.
You can apply for a UOW student card *after* you enrol.
After you've enrolled and have a UOW student number and username - just fill in this request form and a card will be sent your mailing address.
AS part of completing the form, you will be asked to upload two things: A scanned copy of your photo ID (drivers license, passport etc), and a digital photo of yourself that meets our guidelines.
Head to our UOW campus map page to see our interactive maps. The interactive map works really well on mobile devices - so save it to your favorites. You'll be sent your session's venue prior to the 21st - but if you get stuck, head to the Library!
The best parking will be 'P4' Car park. All parking on campus is ticketed - so you will need to pay - BUT if you travel with three or more people in your car, you can park for free in the car-pool carpark.
More information about parking can be read at our Parking at UOW page - or it is also a great idea to consider public transport - check out our getting to UOW page for more info.
