The Faculty of the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, UOW, warmly invites you to the book launch of Hugh Mackay’s latest book, The Way We Are. This event is an invitation for conversations and reflections about belongingness and connections, both within and beyond the UOW community.
Hugh Mackay is a social psychologist and researcher, and the bestselling author of 24 books, including nine novels. His latest non-fiction book, The Way We Are, will be published in May 2024.
Hugh has had a long association with UOW both as an honorary professor of Social Science, and as the recipient of an honorary doctorate.
Hugh will begin by discussing the major themes of his new book. Following this, there will be an “In-conversation” with Senior Professor Sue Bennett, Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Student Life (DVCA), and Associate Professor Lisa Slater (AD EDI) and a Q&A session. There will also be an opportunity to buy the book and have it signed by the author.
